Environmental Sustainability
While the business activities of Cadiz are considered to have a low impact on the environment, the group acknowledges the increasing risk that society poses to the environment. Against a background of growing environmental responsibility among both business and individuals, environmental sustainability has become a focus area of Cadiz and the group is considering innovative ways to address environmental risk and heighten awareness of sustainability among stakeholders.
An internal eco-office project was launched during the year to promote environmentally friendly practices within the business. This will include addressing the reduction and recycling of paper, energy, water and equipment within the office environment. The Cadiz eco forum will measure and monitor the activities of the eco office.
In order to promote a sustainable environment, the group’s procurement policy favours suppliers and service providers that demonstrate environmental awareness.
